Shingles and impact ratings
Do you install standard shingles?
No. Every shingle roof we install is rated Class 3 or better under UL 2218, with Class 4 available, even on basic re-roofs.
What is the difference between Class 3 and Class 4 shingles?
Both are tested under UL 2218 by dropping steel balls on the product. Class 3 products withstood 1.75-inch balls, and Class 4 products withstood 2-inch balls without cracking through. Class 4 is the highest rating.
Will an impact-rated roof lower my insurance?
It might. The Texas Department of Insurance says insurers may give premium credits for UL 2218 roofs, the amount varies by company, and Class 4 generally earns the largest. We do not promise any discount. Ask your insurer. We provide TDI Form PC068 for qualifying installs.
Metal roofing
What types of metal roofs do you install?
Standing seam, exposed-fastener R-panel and PBR, stone-coated steel, metal shingles and metal tile, and roofs for barndominiums, shops, and agricultural buildings. We also repair metal roofs.
Should I get metal or Class 4 shingles?
Both resist hail far better than unrated shingles. Class 4 shingles cost less upfront and often earn the largest insurance credit. Metal lasts a long time and suits shops, barns, lake houses, and modern homes. Our metal vs. Class 4 guide compares them in detail.
Storms and insurance
Do you handle my insurance claim?
We are roofers, not public adjusters, and Texas law does not allow contractors to act as adjusters. We inspect and photograph the damage and meet your adjuster on the roof. You or your agent handle the claim with your insurer.
Can you cover or waive my deductible?
No. Texas law requires you to pay your deductible and makes it illegal for a contractor to waive, absorb, or rebate it. We never do.
Is a storm inspection free?
Yes. Storm inspections are free, with no obligation to hire us.
Exteriors and outdoor living
What else do you do besides roofs?
Gutters, siding, windows, soffit and fascia, exterior painting, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and pool houses.
Can a pergola or pool house roof match my house?
Yes. We roof pergolas, outdoor kitchen covers, and pool houses with the same metal or impact-rated shingles as your home and tie them in with proper flashing.
