Metal, specialty shingles and full siding replacement in Azle
From our Rhome office we take on whole-roof and whole-house projects in Azle and across Parker County. Homes open to wind off the water are good candidates for standing seam, which has no exposed fasteners across the roof field, and on any roof we plan how the edges and ridges are fastened.
- Specialty and designer shingles. Designer and luxury shingles and slate-look and shake-look shingles for homes where the roof is part of the look.
- Standing seam and other metal. 26-gauge standing seam, plus 26-gauge R-panel, stone-coated steel and metal shingles and tile. We form our standing seam panels in-house on our own roll formers and standing seam machine, and our own crew installs them.
- Premium shingle systems. Impact-rated shingle systems from the manufacturers we're certified with (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Atlas). Class 3 is our minimum and Class 4 is available, with TDI Form PC068 for your insurer. Credits vary by company.
- Full siding replacement. Whole-house siding replacement, done with the roof, gutters, soffit and fascia in one project when you want everything to match.
Snow Roofing & Exteriors is A+ rated on the BBB. We do repair leaks and storm damage near Azle too, and if a repair is all your roof needs, we'll tell you that first. See storm & hail inspections.
A town that straddles two counties
Azle sits on State Highway 199 about 16 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth, and the city runs across the Tarrant–Parker county line. According to the Texas State Historical Association, the first settler, Dr. James Azle Steward, arrived in 1846, and the town grew up as a farming community. Wheat, corn, peanuts and dairy farms later gave way to housing developments. TSHA lists 2,969 residents in 1960. The Census Bureau estimates about 15,365 in 2025, up from a 13,354 base in 2020.
That kind of steady growth leaves roofs of every age. Newer homes may be on builder-grade shingles that carry no impact rating, while older ones may be on their second or third roof.
Eagle Mountain Lake homes
The "Gateway to Eagle Mountain Lake," as TSHA calls Azle, is a reservoir on the West Fork of the Trinity River. The Texas Water Development Board lists it at 9,246 acres, with the dam completed in 1932 and the lake owned by the Tarrant Regional Water District. Lake and waterfront homes get more wind and more weather exposure than a house tucked into a subdivision. For those, we look at:
- Standing seam, 26-gauge, with hidden fasteners and a clean look. We form our standing seam panels in-house on our own roll formers and standing seam machine, and our own crew installs them.
- Class 4 shingles for a traditional look, with TDI Form PC068 for your insurer. Credits vary by company.
- Gutters and soffit & fascia replaced along with the roof
- R-panel, 26-gauge, for shops, barns and outbuildings on acreage toward the Parker County side
April 2026 hail
NOAA's Storm Events Database includes a social-media report of a 3-inch hailstone measured near Azle on April 25, 2026, part of a four-day run of supercell storms across North Texas. Azle also had a 1.75-inch report on June 13, 2023. Spotter reports aren't a measure of what hit your roof, so if you haven't had an on-roof inspection since, a free one with photos is worth it. See storm & hail inspections.
Certified with GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, and Atlas, and every shingle roof we install is Class 3 or better. If a repair will do the job, we'll tell you that first.
