About Dallas
Dallas was founded by John Neely Bryan, who settled on the east bank of the Trinity River in November 1841 beside the only good ford for miles, where two major Indian traces crossed. It sits at the crossing of I-20, I-30, I-35 and I-45, and Census estimates show about 1.33 million residents today.
