Hail on metal: cosmetic or functional?
Hail can leave dents that look bad but don't let water in. It can also crack paint, damage seams, or bust fasteners, and those do cause leaks. We document both kinds separately with photos so you and your adjuster can see the difference. [CONFIRM: do you give every inspection customer a written report with labeled photos they keep, hired or not?]
Repair first
If a repair will keep your roof watertight, we'll tell you so. [CONFIRM: OK to promise in writing: "if a repair will do the job, that is what we recommend"?]
We use roof coating systems on some of our commercial jobs. If a coating is a sensible option for your metal roof we'll say so, and if it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
