Metal, specialty shingles and full siding replacement in Chico
From our Bridgeport office we take on whole-roof and whole-house projects in Chico and across Wise County. For Chico homeowners, the projects we do most are whole-roof and whole-house: metal, specialty shingles and siding.
- Specialty and designer shingles. Designer and luxury shingles and slate-look and shake-look shingles for homes where the roof is part of the look.
- Standing seam and other metal. 26-gauge standing seam, plus 26-gauge R-panel, stone-coated steel and metal shingles and tile. We form our standing seam panels in-house on our own roll formers and standing seam machine, and our own crew installs them.
- Premium shingle systems. Impact-rated shingle systems from the manufacturers we're certified with (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Atlas). Class 3 is our minimum and Class 4 is available, with TDI Form PC068 for your insurer. Credits vary by company.
- Full siding replacement. Whole-house siding replacement, done with the roof, gutters, soffit and fascia in one project when you want everything to match.
Snow Roofing & Exteriors is A+ rated on the BBB. We do repair leaks and storm damage near Chico too, and if a repair is all your roof needs, we'll tell you that first. See storm & hail inspections.
Oil, crushed stone and peanuts
Chico is where State Highway 101 meets Farm Road 1810 in northwestern Wise County. TSHA says a settler from Chico, California opened a store near Dry Creek in the mid-1870s. When oil was found nearby in the early 1940s, Chico billed itself as the oil capital of Wise County, and at one time it had four large stone-processing plants making crushed stone for roads. Peanuts and cantaloupes replaced cotton in the 1950s. Census estimates put Chico at 947 residents in the 2020 base and about 1,116 in 2025.
Working land means ranch houses, hay barns, equipment sheds and shops, and many of those wear metal roofs, which eventually need re-screwing or replacing.
